we are payed by the hour? do we clock in and out (sign in and out) and how are often are we paid weekly? monthly? or on a certain day every month .
overtime is paid at what rate ?

You will be paid for a basic 30 hour week. Its mostly job and finish on delivery so If your lucky enough to finish before your time then you go home early and the time is yours :Very Happy

As i understand it the Union has blocked any clocking in machines so you dont stamp in and out you simply turn up on time then go home when either the job is finished or you run out of work. If your workload takes you behond your finish time you must consult a manager FIRST (important!) where upon you simply stop working and go home or if agreed you continue on overtime.

For the 1st 10 hrs while you go up to 40hrs (Which is full time hrs) you do not get overtime as such.
Your money is just made up to full time money.

Oh and for the 1st year,no sick pay and you get a lower rate of normal pay.

It's good to get these types of threads, the ridiculous my manager said bollox, so we can reassure ourselves that while the world is falling apart, Royal Mail managers are still being the low-life C***S they have always been.

Ahh, clocking in and out machines, one of the most basic workers' rights, denied to all royal mail employees.
Be prepared for funny looks, arguments, accusations and sarcastic comments from management. Stick to your guns and ride through it like I did. As long as you do the job right it will be ok.

Time and a third? :chuckle More like time and a tenth. I love the WF agreement, it's almost as good as P&M 2010. :chuckle
