Working in the callers office

A little advice needed please.Can Royal mail force workers in a town centre callers office to sign on at 6.45 am at the main delivery office 4 miles away?They want us to jump on a bus(the bus station is slap bang next to the callers office),sign on,then get ferried back to the office to start work.Its crazy!

I reckon about 90 minutes worth of work(3 workers) would be lost per day because of it.the Union dont want to know.

Why bother, it's all in their time - if they lose 90 minutes a day that's their worry. It may be inconvenient but they may feel that they need to control the staffs start time.

Here's an idea why doesn't someone suggest getting a contact number for the callers office to ring and confirm attendance at a given time.

Or if they want physical evidence of people signing in then get 2 cheap faxes and fax the sheet over.

But if I was in your shoes I'd take the 30 minute journey as long as I was being paid from when I sign in.

Why not accidentally on purpose miss the bus back then that's half ya day gone lol... Do they give you the bus fare ?
