National Insurance employee contributions go up by 1% in April, so you aren't going to have much left to pay for increased Council Tax, fares, petrol, food, and everything else which is going up by more than 3.7%. :dcfo :ncfo :vcfo

5% pay cut then :cry and that's CPI not RPI calculated.
Now who thought it was wise to enter a three year deal at a time of unprecedented uncertainty ,volatility ,and financial collapse ?
That one thing really makes me question the ability /loyalty of our union executive :hmmmm

Pay Freezes may be on the cards Hitcher but you can guarantee that none of them are taking on extra work. The amount of additional work we are having to put up with by way of additional D2Ds and for less money than we used to get paid equates to a pay cut, not a pay freeze.

The higher that number the less tax you pay.
Nearly everyone who lives in the UK is entitled to an Income Tax Personal Allowance. This is the amount of income you can receive each year without having to pay tax on it.
