Tell your rep to get on to Ward and Hayes. They agree with management that mail levels are dropping. Unbelievable but true!kingofmcr wrote:mail volumes are dropping my ass ..the only place they are dropping is right into the frames nearly every day ..more n more by the month ..my bags today were like i had lead weights in them ..and i only had a few pkts

put trolley in van, get droped off and collected
im doing it every day and i wouldnt go back to carrying a pouch.
DOM is very pissed off though as im going over my time and getting me picked up means OT for a driver aswell as myself, i cut off some days and that just impresses him further

Re: frames rammed nearly every day
Nothing on all last week at our office, every day was slack. Had a few National trust mags on Friday but 6 or so per walk doesn't make much difference. Just after xmas it was crap but it's really quietened down now.

Re: frames rammed nearly every day
I disagree with it being the way forward. I can complete a walk about 20% faster without a trolley. The only way trolleys will ever be the way forward is if they cut the rounds by 20%. I think we all know that's not going to happen....moyas slave wrote:ask your DOM for a trolley.

Re: frames rammed nearly every day
IMHO it depends on the walk.. some are suited to using a trolly others aren't..... simplesMisterPostie wrote:I disagree with it being the way forward. Actually you might be right on this, but when you live in the Cotswolds with lots of hills and valleys, pulling a trolley around isn't much fun. Unfortunately there is no such thing as a flat walk in my office.Indy wrote:IMHO it depends on the walk.. some are suited to using a trolly others aren't..... simplesMisterPostie wrote:I disagree with it being the way forward. Re: frames rammed nearly every day
Kinda proves my point really... your walks appear NOT to be suitable yet there are walks in my office where its been proven that a trolley is way faster and easier than using a pouch.MisterPostie wrote:Actually you might be right on this, but when you live in the Cotswolds with lots of hills and valleys, pulling a trolley around isn't much fun.
