6 month sick pay...

Hi there

I've been a postie for 12 years and had to have a hip replacement last november,and i've been off since,now i was wondering how the 6 month full pay entitlement works please?
I'm due to have the other hip done,if i go back to work in the next month and then the op goes ahead within the next few months,do i get another 6 months to recover on full pay.

Does the 6 months full pay start at the beginning of royal mails year?

The rules are six months full pay,six months half pay over a four year period.Good luck with your hip replacements.

and it's cumulative - so the time gets added up - until the maximum is reached (e,g. 4 moths plus 2 months = the 6months, etc)




you need to apply for benefits and the maximum benefits you receive are not allowed to be more than what your wage was.
