how much notice would one have to give to leave RM?

a lad in our office is leaving and he has been told he has to work 8 weeks notice as he has been there 8 years

his point was, what if it was somebody that had 30 years or more in and the reply was 30 weeks or more!

if anybody could provide a link to the relevant agreement it would be much appreciated.

Not sure what you mean about your holidays.
You will be paid for what you have accrued and not used from the start of the holiday year up until your leaving date.

Not sure what you mean about your holidays.
You will be paid for what you have accrued and not used from the start of the holiday year up until your leaving date.

without starting a new thread on the subject of pensions, i use to pay into the pension 10 years ago and had been for 3 or 4 years prior to me leaving. whats happened to that, or is it explained in the link you provided, i didnt look.....

Scrap that, found my contract and it states one week also (PT).

You do leave with 1 weeks notice, BUT, you have to wait for HR to send you your 'leavers pack' containing your p45. Now listen to this... it took 4 weeks for mine to arrive. The whole business is shite from top to bottom!!!! :dcfo :ncfo
