PT to FT.

hi, does anybody know of a DO that has promoted any PT colleagues up to full time as agreed in the BT2010?

it seems that whenever there is a problem at our DO they were throwing about the £1000 statement but that is wearing very thin, so now its the well how many of you want full time hours?

i dont personally but just feel there are others in the office being set up for a fall.

hi postman, i thought i had read it but then again i have read that bonus's have been paid.
we are being rolled big time on all issues at the mo.
i had everybody on side regarding the DOM but he has now taken to bringing the area manager in.
i feel im on unsteady ground

We've only had it through consistant cutting off and where full time hasn't been reached part timers have had their hours increased. Its all about not doing overtime i'm afraid!!!

Play RM at their own game, work the hours you are paid and nothing more, the job doesn't get done and this forces them to increase hours

It depends on your revision and what your office goes for Moya,some have gone for longer walks and more FT's,some have used the PT's for....................weekend work only.

im stayng PT and NO WAY am i covering every saturday.
we havnt got as far as P&L yet as we have been knocked back continuously but i was just putting the feelers out as like i say its a carrot they are dangling at the mo.

I will be going back to FT as we have 4 vacant duties all FT and are losing only 2 jobs thus leaving 2 FT vacaies.

Our sole 20 hour contract man is going up to 30 hours, his existing delivery is merging with another and his hours moved across to the new estate which will become his new delivery patch. As the estate grows the DOM will offer him more hours all the way up to 39 hour week. Only problem is once he is FT and there is re pick of duties following delivey methods revision he will go to being reserve as he hasn't enough seniority to hold a duty.

management have most of the part timers jumping through hoops at the promise of it and i can just see that in another years time nothing will have changed.

Our DIM has said after our Revision they'll be only FT (39/40Hrs) and 24 hr (3 x 8 hr days). So we'll be losing 20, 22.5 & 30 hr contracts. That's going to upset some PTers who don't want the extra hours.
However if it means some PTers will be able to get FT that's good news!

How and why,it's not down to the managers,it's down to what YOU guys decide in YOUR revision.

Successfully got one made up from 32hr to 40 last year, and have just advertised for anyone wanting a raise in hours for an as yet unknown number of duty time increases, at least 2 is what im told).

2 things to remember 1. our pt/ft ratio was disgusting prob - 60% PT. 2. Unfortunately these are only temporary contract increases until the full revision later this year (sept and slipping).

My hope is that if the revision continues to slip then these contracts will become the norm and we can fully include them at there increased hourage in the revsision.

Had 7 part timers made FT due to introduction of delivery methods revision.
When CSS machines arrive next month 2 of the 6 new jobs will be Part timers made up to FT.
See its not all bad, you just gotta know what your doing.

Yes ours because of the revision and the WSM machinery carrys 40 hour duties so anyone who is successful in applying who is only part time will be made full time.

i went from PT to FT Ive been on a temp contract for 1 year now. thank god revision suspended till at least august that gives me another 6 motnhs of FT before being put back down to PT. unless our thickheaded area manager will make me perm.
