Testing Of New Delivery Route

Hi Folks fellow Blue shirts
Next week towards end of week parts of my existing duty and the roads that the dom wants to be added on are to be tested,
This is going to be done by another postman(not sure why they won't test me but I guess I would do it properly lol) also another postie had said with the new roads added to the walk, would be tooo long I know it will be, they are looking at 4.10 first letter to last. I do that now without anything added.

anyway I do my duty by cycle/ walk , the postie being tested does his by his own car, so I said this morning if my duty is to be tested then it has to be done by a cycle can this be disregarded, as this is a table top revision the cycles are still to be used.
How fast is the walking speed when on test, plus the new route has a lot of dead ground is this included in the time,
any other advice also,

Mind you we are having this TT revision plus a resighn then 6 months later a pegasus/ geo route and another resighn

surely if its a cycle duty then it should be tested as a cycle duty not by some numpty slinging everything in the boot of his car

when we have tested duties in the past. its been the manager, the rep and an /other postie. but the correct delivery method should be used

I wouldn't have thought he'd be allowed to use his own car, what if another postie like yourself dosen't have a drivers license? I know at our office we're not allowed to use our own cars at all.

First thing that springs to mind is do know much about the postie who will be testing your round BY CAR ( )? Is this member of staff a known "flyer" that would help the DOM fudge the integration of the extra rods as being doable inside contract hours?

Could you insist that this postie shows their correct insurance to you and your rep for carrying mail in their car?
And as already written, if this walk is a cycle walk, why is the DOM allowing the test to happen by another method?
And why are they not allowing you to test the propsed walk while being monitored by rep or another colleague?

if the walk is to be tested it should be done the wat it is to be done on a daily base so if it to be done by cycle/walk that is how it should be tested allso what does your rep say about it? and i thought cars on deliver was banned now. but it wont matter if park and loop comes in then as the dutys will be done by pegasus

Don't they have union reps in Essex? If so, get him to sort it out for you

Bloody hell ,we've been waiting for 5 years for some walks to be tested. We got one done on a Tuesday and it lost 90 calls to lapsing

probably started off as a 3.30 delivery plus 40 mins Meal Relief = 4.10

and in reality is 4.10 delivery and Meal Relief what Meal Relief?
