Well well well the truth finally came out yesterday at a reps meeting with SOM present and a person from H/R.
Whilst the SOM spoke about how the new format is to work for the new resource meeting held between rep and DIM now to be 2 hrs long.
I couldn't hold my tongue any-more our office is understaffed like all D/Os at present and i said you expect me to sit down and do a 2hr resource meeting with my DIM and do the new revision whilst our office is under-manned.
Before the SOM could say anything H/R said WE ARE EXPECTING JOB LOSSES so i said under this new agreement more jobs are to be created so you are pre-empting job losses no no no she says ,SOM then steps in a says we will send casuals to your office to bring your office establishment up.
Now I may be a bit slow but im not stupid but surely H/Q new of this before selling this agreement with the saying more jobs would be created.
Well they aint and they know it and what do they do nothing we all might aswelll give up the fight and let R/M do what they want because the CWU is.
The more we get into this agreement the worse it gets and IMHO its time for the CWU to act.
So if your office is understaffed at present R/M are going to continue to whittle the man power down so dont expect any form of recruitment,I will be amazed if 3 casuals turn up at my D/O and still we will be 3 staff short.
Until our office man power is up to speed nothing will be getting signed off .

Unless you can find it the CWU never said that,what they did say was that some part timers would/could have the chance to be made full time.saying more jobs would be created.
This agreement was always about job losses.Let's be honest every agreement over the last few years has been as well.
That is why a lot of offices are seemingly left understaffed while they wait for their revision.

Weve 5 vacant duties at my D.O of which one is a floater and the DOM wants to recruit. Senior manager is OK with this but they will be tempoary contracts. The main part of our revison proposal is to take out two urban bike delivery duties thus leaving three vacant duties.
