Hey,

Just a question, what is the general acceptance of delivering personal flyers? eg/ I have an uncle running his own local business, what would the harm be in me delivering his ads though doors with general mail?

Have any of you known posties do this or if it may be allowed?

I figured lol, only been in job a week but had a family member ask me to drop some of his ads through my walks!

I don't see any difference to actually posting regular d2d's though? unless it states 'no junk mail' etc on doors then what diff can it be? just another local advert posting?

100% not allowed - he would have to pay normal D2D rates via RM. Can't see nay Manager Okaying that in fact is it not a sack-able offence.

We had a guy going around the area stopping posties and offering £10 to deliver a flyer. He stopped me and mentioned a couple of names from the office who had accepted but i said NO. Next day the ones who had done them were asking everyone and then crapping themselves Nothing ever came of it so it was prob gen but is it worth your job.

we get a huge £20 for delivering (this week 6) door to doors what more do you want!!!

Someone is Scotland a few years back got the sack for delivering her husbands flyers to do with his job,
the person in question done it while delivering D2D.

Be warned and don't go there it is not worth it
