Overtime = Longer break?

If i do a split duty (30mins travelling to and from and 1.45hrs delivery - half of 3.5 span) bringing my total working day to 10hrs 53mins am i entitled to claim further meal relief or is this built into the overtime?

At present all we are allowed to claim is the 2.15hrs so im guessing no extra MR is included. If i added a further 20mins for MR could i argue the case?

Seems strange that if i took another 6 mins to do the overtime I could then claim a further 10 mins as I would have gone over 10hrs 59mins!

Is it worth causing a stink over this, cause thats what it will be if i raise the issue to a manager.

If you work those hours you're due those breaks.
There's nothing your manager can do about it...stink or no stink.

I regularly do a whole extra duty on OT at for an extra 4.5 hours pay. Finish time of 18:48 pm.

Still cant get a mortgage.

its his choice, I still cannot believe people pull each other up for doing OT, whether it is a RM feck up, or a fellow colleague needing help, whatever. Its his choice.

If he wants to do a 100 hours a week, save up 10k for his mortgage thats his choice, if that was the only option I had, sure as hell I would do it.

I have done deliveries for several years and in my honest humble opinion it is not a good long term bet to rely on overtime doing walks in the afternoon after completing your own duty. The long term strain on your body is severe and worse still you will not notice it until you get older and develop rhumatism/artritis and become a virtual cripple.
I understand that you may be desperate for the money but is it worth throwing your long term health away for?
