Problem arose recently when our 2 coachs or new entrants trainers were asked to go out or shadow experienced delivery officers who are struggling to complete their rounds.
Mamagement indicated if delivery officers where not working to Royal mail standards or efficiently ie walking to slow etc! etc! the coach would be able to advise them
where they were going wrong!! Both Coachs were very unhappy about being involved in this and action now on hold.Any history of this taking place in other offices and how was it handled? Also union stance on this issue? Cheers

That isn't in the job description of a workplace coach.
I personally would happily tell them to f**k off.
Next time they ask you ask them what exactly are Royal Mail Standards?
I think you will find there are no individual performance standards for outdoor work.

good point fishtank ! they will use any tactics to try and get revsions up and running. maybe the coaches could shadow the planners and offer some advice lol !

The problem is,'some' WPC's according to reports on here are near enough linos with the extra work 'some' of them do.
