Is there a standard way RM handle customer complaints OR is it left to the discretion of the manager thats dealing with it at the time?
Also do people here feel as if they get treated fairly when it comes to complaints?

I've had a few and they were all bollox and it's pisses me off cause it then goes down in the office stats.
One manager said to me about one once,well why didn't you knock then?

None of mine have ever gone further and i find my managers believe us most of the time.They know how the public work.

It's good to get these types of threads, the ridiculous my manager said bollox, so we can reassure ourselves that while the world is falling apart, Royal Mail managers are still being the low-life C***S they have always been.

I find that most of the complaints are mainly, the postie put this thru the wrong door, or the postie didn't knock. These kind of things aren't usually bothered with. Recorded Items not being signed for etc, the postie will be given a talking to, haven't seen it go much further than this.
It's funny when you're in the locker, serve a customer who's packet isn't back yet, then they call u up, to complain about you not looking properly. Doh!!!

Unless its very serious, like you were abusive to a customer, its handled at a local level by your lino or dom. Normally a slap on the wrists talking to.
