3pm' last letter' in the agreement

can anyone confirm this is in the agreement. they had us downstairs today for a 'bullshitting' of the new start and finish times, and the area rep said 3pm last letter on a saturday was always in the agreement. its been there from the very beginning. if it was they,ve been very unclear about it, in fact, its only been mentioned this last few weeks. i feel we,ve been kept in the dark about this crap til they got their yes vote. we were told BEFORE it came in that our times would more than likely NOT change, and even if they did it would be minimal. now its all coming out. theres hell on in the office. who in there right mind would vote for this. they are pushing people into leaving. the jobs fekt.

our finish times are a bit earlier now, betweeen 2.30 and 2.45 in the main I think.

The vast majority of letter deliveries are planned to be completed by 1430 hours and most by 1400 hours." Knowing RM as I do, I took it to mean that we would finish deliveries at 1500. Anyone who assumed that they would be one of the mythical majority finishing at 1400 should have known better.

I mean really, when have RM ever been honest with us? They always put these little bits into agreements, brush over them saying, oh it's nothing important,nothing to worry about, and we end up with 3.pm finishes on a Saturday, (if you're lucky you'll get an extra couple of Saturdays off a year), summer lapsing, summer lapsing during Christmas Pressure, unlimited d2d's without payment etc etc etc.

To many members did not read or did not understand the agreement, coupled with the unions collaboration, this has destroyed our jobs as we knew them. AND IT IS NOT FOR THE BETTER.

If it was 1500pm last letter delivery time in our office, you wouldn't finish by 1545pm as you would need time to get back to the office unload van sign in your Doc left parcels etc etc

But people don't forget your Meal Relief, Van checkes , van loading my view the work span time don't work. I will be one who won't start early i will have my meal Breaks, if unable to Deliver all mail in time inform manager before leaving office, if everyone done the new Delivery spans by Royal Mail Spec and within the Law it won't work, no one can be Bullied so keep calm and do what you can inside your contratcual Hours
