Tracked packets are getting om my T**s

In our office why should tracked items be treated better than special deliveries, we are told to go out at 7am being a firms delivery man til 8am, if we dont go out we are told to make sure we take the tracked items & normal packets are left if we think we are gonna go over. I am getting really sick of this job, having 22years in now & upteen people being sacked over those years for holding mail back etc, yet now-a-days Royal Mail is doing it without batting an eyelid. This new way of working coming in soon is gonna be the end of a few good Postmen around the Country, because it aint gonna work?

Anybody know the tariff rates for plain tracked;signature required ; and next day delivery tracked ? Cos the work involved exceeds registered post!
I'm guessing no insurance applies ,but since it's all "tracked" ,equally no one wants a 'visible' failure.
Currently or regular packet drivers are exclusively dealing with "tracked" ,bag drops ,regular packets are done ad hoc

how ironic that you are complaining about complaining! It seems to be the general opinion on these forums that RM sucks so you cant really moan at the guy for expressing his frustration. berating the guy doesnt really help, maybe he has a family to feed during this recession so cant just quit?

Maverick you are not in the services now. You no doubt have done your own fighting and i commend you and your colleagues for your brave acts. We and many more RM workers have fought numerous times for our rights, to be treated fairly and with respect, to get paid sick leave to have a half decent pension to have rights of representation and i could go on, but you get the drift, you may be used to the services bullying culture and be a goody goody yes man, but i and many more on this board will not be treated like that. You my friend are no doubt getting the benefits of our past battles and even though at the moment our employer has chosen to push its workforce to the point of despair, there will always be people willing to make a stand. Your attitude serves no-one but RM agenda to break its workers moral. Clearly you have already succumbed.

In part i agree with part of your post that 'some' old timers talk bollox and i have them in my office.
'Some' new timers also talk bollox.

We went out on friday with tracked and normal packets, returned to find another lot of tracked
thet had come with the last mail told to make sure they got delivered before anything else!!
Today same thing happened

I ve had loads of Amazon tracked since returning after xmas. But its not all bad because when they start failing or other packets get left they will have to create (ok i know it will take a long time ) more overload duties to cope.
