still delivering christmas cards

what an absolute embarrassment, 8th January and we are still delivering christmas cards, I got one from my sister posted a week before christmas (same town) yesterday! our office delivers postcodes 1 2 and 4 but we were getting all the mail from our hub office for the entire postcode area during the christmas period and we had to mamually sort it and take out the 1 2 and 4 codes..this happened every day despite our protests ..now it looks like the problem still hasnt been sorted...still no wage slips this week either...what a way to run a company !!!

just thinking.....its the same here in NI.....we had a crisis with the water here and the head of the water board got the sack for letting the customers down.......surely someone in royal mail should be getting a slap on the wrists for all the christmas post that didnt get through.....i am still waiting on a parcel from the usa posted on the 5th dec!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Yeah, been telling customers that Royal Mail are delivering them early this year, in anticipation of a very hard Winter next December.

what about people waiting for important things like work related documents/medical/paycheques/application forms etc

RM is failing the public with the service its providing and they had the cheek to increase stamp prices

I've noticed there are loads with the wrong postcodes on that are coming through now. Most are for other local offices within a 10 mile radius of ours, the earliest postmark i've seen is the 6th Dec.

Utter utter shite, i've been waiting for two 1st class recorded packets myself that were posted in between xmas and new year. What a shambles, it's embarrassing. How this isn't making the national news I don't know because the company is in ruins.

The late Christmas cards are the most accurate way of measuring Royal Mails quality of service.
If aunty Flo says she posted her card to me on Dec 5th, then she posted it on Dec 5th, family will do all they can to ensure prompt arrival, usually by posting as early as possible.
I'm not sure I'd trust Tesco, BT, Virgin, Sky, et al, quite as much. They could very well say one thing, and mean quite another, if you know what I mean.

i was delivering xmas cards today unreal!!! this did not happen when we sorted our locals out before we send the mail to the mail centre i noticed it was all cards without the postcode!!
