Now im lazy and cant be bothered to check,Who regualtes royal mail,Is it Postcomm?
Just thinking because Yesterday i went over my finish by 1 hour 30 mins,So today i told the boss im not going over,I Got out of the Wrong side of the bed this morning.
Anyway,His responce was "I need a complete delivery,So sort until what time you think you need to be bagging up to do a complete delivery for ur finish time,Leave any mail that you haven't sorted"
Now after nearly scratching the scalp off my head in bewilderment,I reasoned,How can it be a complete delivery when i left 2 trays of mail and never touched a catalogue,Oh and i still have 2 bundles of sky mags to do.
While delivering i noticed xmas cards,Stamped.............Wait for it..............Wait for it..............................10th December.
What a joke we are,Now i thought Royal mail incurred Huge Fines by the regulator regarding quality of service,Or is that being brushed under the carpet for some strange reason?
I have never ever known mail to be delayed for so long,Shambolic.

Yeah had one for the 10th yesterday . Ive decided NEVER to go over my time anymore ( not being nasty as 95% of the time i cant even if i wanted to ) and im sure theres gonna be LOADS more doing the same .

Sometimes RML like everybody to get some mail rather than a section of the delivery get nothing. In otherwords keeping up apperances.

managers were getting ppl who are covering rounds on o/t, to do half of several walks rather than the full round, this way they dont fail the u.s.o apparently, disgusting to say the least, get more staff would be the sensible approach!

some one said the other day that they found a arctic lorry with mail from the start of december in it that was left in a depot when the snow came on

POSTCOM or the Mail regulators are one of the problems of Royal Mail and they hamper progress and profitability.
Bosses are more concerned about stats and failures and fines and wrath of regulators and customers that they cannot think straight or run the service properly.
I have worked in a small sector ;) of Royal Mail that wastes so much money on Casuals especially arounf xmas time and loads of scheduled attendance/overitme. Half of the time, there is no work to do - crazy, isn't it when others dont even get paid or correctly paid for overtime done.
Yes, managers have been known to pretend to take mail out and simply bring them back or put some in mail boxes. They know that most postmen are dedicated and prefer no-hassles that they will not 'cut off'...
To be honest, they dont care as long as they survive another day and get their bonuses.
