have had enough and going to hand in my notice next week.

it was nice knowing all you guys,
will still be in and out of this forum to check up on the going ons etc...

I Wrote-During Covid-Which is still relevant now
It's good to get these types of threads, the ridiculous my manager said bollox, so we can reassure ourselves that while the world is falling apart, Royal Mail managers are still being the low-life C***S they have always been.

Im the same as you mate covering 5 rounds BUT ive seen the light . I came into all that s**t too and done what your doing but no more .

When you come in EVERYTHING should be done for you ............ thats what THEY get paid for . I cant work past my time anymore so when this crap happens i just go in and tell them i have to leave stuff in and more often than not my frame is fully prepped and if not i leave mail in the frame . Done it for so long mate that it feels REAL good each day knowing your frame is all up or your leaving mail for them . NOT being difficult at all as i just cant work past my time but its good now . try it .

Everyone i know is hanging on for a pay off ,which prob will be years away , they have completely destroyed a once great company ! 7 d to ds this week and 3 days to do em and no folder as promised in agreement ! I start bang on my time ,oops maybe thats why they failed! 90 percent of my office preps them when they come in well b4 there time or take em home n prep them grrrr! Job is undoable now ,,annyone else agree?

I'm so close to packing it in too... I'm a reserve on 25hr contract. Never get regular days off, pro rata everything, blah blah blah... I mostly cover full time driving duties so get 40hrs and more if I do packets etc. most weeks.

This festive period was mental and unless I start managing to work to my time, taking breaks etc. I'm gonna walk. I need to know the ins and out of cutting off because the standard reply from our DOM is "I think you can manage it" and then you end up taking it out. I feel like I've been tricked into overtime on a daily basis and I can't stand it any more.

I don't mind going the extra mile on overtime for a good reason, i.e. someone going sick suddenly or something but when the office is understaffed, and also with people on long term sick and still no extra bodies coming in the door it's time to say NO! :so there

I have 2 weeks off to plan how to tackle this when I go back. I just want a normal days work!
