I Have 3 lots this week. I'm off tomorrow so its the floater doing Tuesdays, me doing Wednesday, Thursday and Friday, and Saturday, Mondays is history I don't do catch up unless DOM wants me to and I will agree, but he will need my bottom row covering on Saturday Simple as that.....

dont know how many we have this week as in scotland not back until wednesday,however the postie who usually lays them out at your frame said my section of the office was due 2 lots between x mass and hogmany.but as you can quess none appearred .no doubt they will appear on wednesday marked deliver by 31st dec.and the dom will say they have to be delivered along with any new ones.no chance straight in the excess york with them

You do the appropriate %/day and if you can't complete within your duty hours you claim or cut off.

as i understand it these pizza companies ect have paid for their leaflets to be delivered in a certain timeframe(buy one get one free between 26th dec /31st dec) if they havent been placed at my frame within the timescale then not my problem ,unless the dom and rep jointly say they have to be delivered then i wont deliver them ,they should go back to perth or where ever they go these days.as usual down to local agreements which seem to be more a nod and wink than any thing agreeded by the members

So getting back to what Clash asked: If the same thing happened with for example a letter, or packet. Would you just dump that in the excess York?

The National Agreement (Business Transformation 2010 and Beyond) reached between Royal Mail and the CWU requires that Door to Door (D2D) will be placed into measured workload and delivered over 6 days, 52 weeks a year.

Balancing D2D across the week
• Prep and deliver at least 1/6th of D2D each day starting from Monday.
• On Bank Holiday weeks the D2D should be based on at least 1/5th delivery per day.
• On Mondays, people may also wish to sort D2D items to any delivery points which are known to receive mail infrequently, reducing the need for cold calling later in the week.
• Delivery employees can manage locally their approach to delivery of D2D as long as all items are delivered to specification. Any local practice will not alter the planning method, which is based on delivery of at least 1/6 of items per day.

It's my day off today (Tuesday), I've got 5 lots (1 in 1 box, 3 in 2 boxes, and the last is 3 boxes) and my duty's being covered by OT so I doubt any will get done.

EDIT: And we don't get any extra time because of the failing volumes.
