New year / Christmas eve working hours

Hi, can some one tell me what is the stance with these days, i don't want to know what happens in your office or any local agreements what is the official line? where can i find it to show the DOM!

ok will try and make it to the point.
we have hybrid duties 9-30am till 6pm then sat 7-30am till 13-30pm
now xmas eve seen as there are no collections {the hub do them} it is treated as though its a sat in our office, so we go in do delivery then go home, we get a flyer!


new years,no collections the same as xmas eve, asked to come in early, 7am thinks don't mind doing that as well we get a flyer right? oh how wrong were we! so did packets before me delivery,
not our usual manager, after i have finished delivery then says "more packets to do" wtf! "you will be working to your full hours"
ffs! i told him i have no problem working my full hours as i do that every day of the year but what i find galling is that over the course of the year i would say 80% of the office on one day or another have had a flyer, due to the duty structure we have to be there all day with no flyers! so on the couple of days of the year that we can get home early he makes us work the full hours.


i did discuss it with him but after a while he said "i am not talking to you as were just arguing" well he then carried on with it, it seems that when he says something he's only expressing his opinions but when i express my opinions then i am arguing?


i just want to know is it in an official national agreement anywhere or is it just a local thing?
our rep is unsure as we have always treated it as though it's a saturday, but the dom is saying, normal working day

yes we worked our full hours, we did packets instead
