each and EVERY crimbo without fail, we,ve had bacon sandwiches put on, 'courtesy' of management. a small thank you, you could say for the year's services. not this year though. we got a new dom 5 months ago, and for the first time in 20yrs, they didnt put them on. when asked why? the reply was.......' well you's wont have time to eat them now,.....its a totally different ballgame!!! ffs! ive heard it all now. what do we have a 40 mins break for? cutbacks,,,,jesus what a load of sheeeite.

In my opinion this is the biggest problem with Royal Mail! Not Bacon sarnies specificly but that type of team bonding / we are all in this together type thing. Team spirit is a powerful thing which doesnt seem to be recognised by our megalomaniac leaders. I wonder how much of the snow delays were caused by disgruntled staff refusing to help out because they hate their managers!

the managers never used to be hated though. they got co-operation from staff, and there was some semblance of respect and even harmony. not now though, its as if they are possessed by the demonic forces of senior management, telling them to push through everything at any cost. they,ve lost whatever respect and co-operation there was, because they are brainwashed into carrying out 'orders' barked at them from their heirarchy'.....well stuff em.

last week, they told us to cut off from boxing in the duties every day, and leave whatever you had till the next day. on the 23rd and 24th they told us just to take out chrismas cards and packets, and leave EVERYTHING else. flats, dsa, mailsort, d2d, the lot. today when i came back, there was 60 odd yorks full off backlog stuff, and loads of mail that was brought back after people had cut off. they were asking people to stay back on overtime to do ips on the docket. some said they were working till 7pm!!!,,,,,,,aye, its going swimmingly

We used to get a £4 voucher for Xmas dinner in Quadrant staff restaurant. But this year we got nothing.
MC Manager says he found out that no other MC gets vouchers so he isn't going to give us any.

we get the coffee/tea machine put on free for a day the thing is it makes a fiver profit off most of us year in year out....
