Suspended Driving Allowance

Can anyone help i been on the sick since october 2010 and my wage slip says they have supended my driving allowance to £5.52 from £27 .00 or their abouts is this the normal thing
or is somthing going on here.

It is normal for allowances to be stopped after a certain number of weeks off sick. I am not sure exactly how many weeks as this has never happened to me.

5.52 pound sounds like one days driving allowance dim has screwed up and put in ad hoc allowance for one day

Ok everone it appears if you been off work for eight weeks they take the allowance off you nice of them thanks for all your replies and have a Happy New Year

he must have grandfather rights to get driving allowance most of us dont get it . but the goverment bought in legislation that said all people doing the same work should get the same money so why has the union not done some thing about this ? how can thy say that two drivers doing the same job get different pay i understand that 600 drivers get more money but they should be the only ones because a union is all about all of us being treated the same

if he,s getting £27 he,s getting mgv allowance for driving omv,s 3.8 tonne and above. everyone should get this for driving vans of this type.
