Staff struggled to complete their rounds on time under the new arrangement of sending out teams of staff to deliver letters and parcels from vans.

Mail was sent out to other depots for sorting and return to Dundee East for despatch by enlarged teams of staff drafted in from far afield.

The emergency action cleared most of the first backlog, only for the bad weather to arrive and cause it to grow again.

Some of the Royal Mail's senior Scottish officials visited to see the problems—and even help on deliveries—and they promised to pull out all the stops to make it up to their Dundee East customers in time for Christmas.

Agency staff throwing in walks = guaranteed missorts + lots of them - the jobs fcuked . At least the public now know The TRUTH & the rank + file aint getting it in the neck.

Make no mistake, at this rate Christmas cards will still be getting delivered late January

All that has to be done is for RM to admit they cocked up in the revision for a resolution

its a joke we sent drivers from are office to there but we got mail all over the place in our own office and it not the agency staff fault they are treated like s#### it is royalmail fault for not seeing the problem coming own up say park and loop does not work for f####

why should the management admit to any fault? its so obviously us to blame, not throwing out fast enough, not walking quickly etc etc, bloody posties!

Team brief this morn, and some of us are not pulling our weight, some of us are taking to many coffee breaks, some of us are coming in late, this is what we got told from a dom from another office.

Well if these people are doing things that there not supposed to be doing then pull them up about it. The dom also mentioned that the deliverys seem doable and sees no reason why anybody can't finish there duty on time as other posties from other depots have said the dutys are fine...what a load of bull.
