Ive been reading so many posts lately reguarding O.P.Gs sounding off about thier working conditions I.E.
D2D now treated as first-class mail, with no cap on quanity,and a miminim payment
Duties being to big,unable to complete, (georoute)
Park and loop
Unpaid over-time, or pressure to work over-time
Contracted hours
Full timers vs part timers
B/H
SADLY i have to remind all of you good people YOU LISTENED TO THE LEADERS OF YOUR UNION and you voted to accept the conditions you are now being asked to work SO WHY ALL THE CRYING

I.M.H.O. its time the real trade-unionists took controll of this once proud union( by the way i belive in santa claus.)

Forgive my ignorance but the yes votes were a minority of the of CWU members working for RML. The majority had no desire what so ever to put a X next to YES.

That's exactly the argument that RM and CWU HQ used, to claim that it was a representative vote. The fact is: It didn't get in, because of the yes voters. It got in, because the majority couldn't be arsed voting at all!

Now I know that most (if not all) of the members of RMC voted. Not just because of what was said in the discussions. But because if people can be bothered to register, and spend time on a Forum discussing the issues. Then it's a safe bet, that they have also made the effort to vote. Although sadly, there were some yes voters on here. But they were outnumbered by those of us who voted NO.

Just because they didn't vote Andy it doesn't follow that they couldn't be bothered.
They were given a choice between an agreement they didn't believe in and....nothing,nada or "no plan b" as was made clear by Dave and Bob.
Not much of a choice is it?.....Hardly surprising really that they looked at the ballot paper like it was poison.
The were loyal members of a union that made it clear that this was it....this was as good as it gets.
I'm only surprised they had the courage not to vote yes.

I'll tell you why a lot didn't vote,because they didn't have a bloody clue what they were voting for!The info in my MC was next to nothing.The only reason i knew what was happening was because of RMC.Mind you,it didn't help that the MCM and senior rep were going hand-in-hand to WTL sessions telling everyone how good it was,and "there isn't a plan b"!TOTAL CRAP!

i did not vote for it,, and that management are abusing the agreement, with the the union saying its ok to do so,,, so what chance have posties got when management and the union are in the same bed....
