Mainly because by the time we've finished burning our D2D, there isn't any room for coal.
But I still have a coal fire and you would be more than welcome to warm yourself in front of it on New Years Eve.
Problem is - if I'm celebrating xmas with the Coptic Church on 7th Jan, when am I celebrating New Year?

If you're in Scotland its a satutory holiday so if its your day off you get one back.

If you're in England we are working so you wont.
