Oh and for my real Nostradamus prediction......................Christmas will be in the month of December and with the growth of online shopping it will create an increase in packets which will continue right up to 24th December.......................just so the managers can plan for that

Can Someone please inform RM Managers in Dec 2011 we will have Xmas and theirfore a substantial increase in letter Traffic and Parcels,also possibility of bad weather.

Every year at RM Xmas seems to sneek up and take the management by surprise,perhaps with 12 months notice they might prpare for it.

When I worked for a private Logistics company,Xmas planning began end of June Early Julyand all went smothly,mangers jobs were on line otherwise and compamy would loose contract.

Well a change of delivery for me but its going to get worse next year, i can feel it

I think its all going to be about privatisation in a BIG way

Fewer staff, more work for the survivors, a gradual erosion of working conditions (as well as the quality of service), before we finally usher in the great white hope (of them, not us) - privatisation. At which point the aforementioned (fewer staff, more work, worsening conditions) will continue at greater pace, but no-one will care about all that when it's costing them 70/80p to post a letter. They'll hate their postmen in the same way they hate politicians!
