just got first weeks pay/ whats deleivery supplement

HI there , i just done my first weeks work and got my pay slip yesterday ,in it was a £10 odd deleivery supplement can anyone tell me what this is or what ?? is this a 1 off payment or weekly or what is going on .

Its a payment for all in the delivery function - based on full time and pro rata for part timers.

The MCs and various other functions get a similar supplement as well. Sadly nothing to do with delivering leaflets, that part of the workload now

we used to get doors to doors money usually like this

X numbers of houses X 1.67 / 1.75 X numbers of different leaflet ie Sky, Somerfield, Car Insurance

we can get about 30 pounds a week for this if we got right walk. But now it had been changed to this supplement to make Royal Mail more money and give us more work for less money. If you work part time you get even less despite doing the same amount of work as full timers. But the bright side you get money every week even on your week off (if you work 6 days a week for 5 week then week off on 6th week) or holidays

It is very unpopular deal with posties.

We get £20 per week delivery compliment (pro-rata). Apparently they had problems recruiting a few years ago and it was an incentive but we've kept it ever since - probably a similar thing to London weighting.

its a good deal for royal mail and a bad deal for employees, as you lost early start allowance and you could have earned upto 2.7p per leaflet.
