first christmas

well this is my first christmas with royal mail, even as silly busy as it was, back kills, legs like jelly, and still cant get warm, but i enjoyed it, is that the end of mad days or after christmas is it still as bad? oh yes and merry christmas to all my fellow posties and happy new year.

Yes same to you friend, wont be as bad when you go back, but there will be a lot of holiday brochures, that can weight a ton.

Worse. For then all the holiday brochures start coming through. Three or four bulky brochures in a plastic bag as one item of mail is not uncommon.

I think after christmas is going to be a nightmare, boxing day sales they say are going to brake records by internet shoppers around £450 million spent , And as it is only a 3 day week next week, 2 days for me :), it will be very busy, and like the post above mine said jan/feb can be very heavy with brochures ect.

get saga magazines for 60 x people in a residential home and that's half a trolley filled upalready usually you'll have all week to have them delivered though

Dunno why people are so obsessed about the VAT rise; prices have been going up persistently and disproportionately in ALL FIELDS since we went into recession. Retailers will certainly use this as another rod with which to beat us, their supposed beloved consumer, but they're there to make as much money as possible and f*ck us and our kind.

Then all these easy lifer's will be sitting at home for 2 weeks just getting bored and hit the internet for all those gifts which they did not get for christmas. Happy days !

Holiday brochures already appeared at my DO. All thrown under the frame until 2011. No way am I delivering them before Xmas.

We were told to sort the mailsort and clear the holiday stuff christmas eve,when we get back he wants us back on lapsing and there are d2ds for the 3 days next week.
