NO BONUS!

Just heard on the tv that the chief executuve of Heathrow BAA is not going to take his bonus because of the cock up that has been made over the flights and disruption due to the bad weather. Quite right, i agree with him. I think the same should apply to RM management starting at the top and all the way down to DOMS. Lets face it, they cant honestly say that what they have imposed on all of us posties is reasonable, so yes they are to blame for the utter chaos in all the delivery offices regarding backlogs of mail and packets. I know we have no control over the weather but because of their cost cutting exercises(which if achieved, goes towards them getting their bonuses)the unrealistic delivery spans imposed even in normal conditions cannot be achieved, how do they expect it STILL to work in these extreme circumstances. Silly me. is it because the traffic figures are down

This weather has been the saving of RM this Christmas! We all know it's been a total cock-up caused by the proposed revisions, and in a lot of cases Management(?) have had to back down and postpone them.

Now they can simply blame all problems on the weather. As for refusing their bonuses, yes I think they should, however we all know it takes a big man to admit his mistakes. I don't think we're Managed by big men do you?

Personally, I think it's very clever that yer man has recanted his bonus ( btw he got over £1M last year inc bonus - but the amount of bonus was not specified in financial reports ) but this year's bonus has not been calculated, so he might have been s**t this year and earned a basement bonus, either way, he's decided to announce publically he didn't deserve his bonus, so the vibe wil be "That guy's s**t coping with the snow, but to be fair, he know's he's s**t, so let's give him another chance to get it right....unlike those spivs and chancers at RM HQ! "

Sadly, those spivs & chancers will tell their minions to bleat about the unusual weather, and how no one could predict it or prevent the results, blah, blah, blah, while avoiding all reference to a lack of temps recuitment or nightshift sorting in offices, or hiring extra vans, or prioritising of packet deliveries which always used to happen ( that's just down my way - so FK what else didn't happen in your units ), and the public with their short term memories, or I'm alright Jack attitudes will shrug their sholders and carry on till the next national scandal....at worst, a few mid management sacrifical lambs will be led to slaughter ( with handsome pay offs no doubt ) and the true shysters will be able to melt back into the shadows of public perception.
