can u help me m8.all oor office got sent home this morn cause eh weather n no mail got 2 us now mr boss man says we o him those hours back.surely thats not right

because of the bad weather we were told that you can stay and do work in the office or you can owe us the hours, or if you had worked overtime this week you could forfeit those hours and owe nothing, we work at wrexham delivery office, surely we cant be blamed for the bad weather.

No you can't be blamed for the bad weather. However as RM do pay us for x amount of hours they are quite within their rights to give you an option of staying till finish time (my choice last time it happened) or going home and owing them hours.

What they have done is basically said if you go home you are volunteering to owe them hours and allow clawback and thats the important thing. Imposing a claw back is illegal - allowing people to do it volunatrily isn't.
