Snow Flurry.
So which office has had deliveries suspended with the least amount of snow? Is this H&S gone mad or something else going on?

We had 6 to 8 inches but no full suspension of deliveries. We did have a partial suspension when some deliveries were already out because the buses all cancelled, they contacted all the walkers and arranged for them to stop and return.

We had a sprinkling of snow this afternoon, almost enough to cover the road and pavements. Within an hour, they were like a sheet of ice, the snow didn't even melt, it just froze. So it doesn't matter if you've got 8 inches or not.

Yes the same on my delivery. It was ok till the snow came down as you could see the ice but once covered it was a nightmare

Ok...my office closed for 2 days ( Had to find out 2nd hand, as they didn't ring any p/t workers, but sent full timers who were already in home.)
My question: Will this be taken out of MY Annual Leave allowance or, are RM responsible?
( Knowing RM, I think I "may" know the answer already, if you know what I mean...)

I went in today at my start time of 7am, and we were told as no lorries could get down to our office from Swansea mail centre, then we could all go home. We would all be paid 8 hours for today and any overtime that has been booked from the week will still be paid!Thunderthighs wrote:Great jokes!

They are hoping to have a lorry down tomorrow and i've been offered 5 hours ot sorting parcels, mail and getting everything ready for monday morning. That'll bring my hours up to 60 for the week

we got in for 6am start time this morn,,,drove in,,,couldnt get close to the office as its on a hill,,car just couldnt get a grip going up,,,manager fobbed us off said a van load had left warrington at 7,,,,then he got us all together at 8 and said he wanted everybody off the premises LOL deliveries were suspended,,no mail had arrived and the area rep would fight the case for us from monday as to pay or claw back LOL god help us with work load nxt week,,,welllll thats what i thought till i reallised im saturaday day off nxt week so our mon-fri working week has us finishing 30 mins earlier than anybody with a day off in the week.
funnily enough though the next delivery office was out delivering....i know each area can be different and has its own probs...and it was awful trying to drive in to work this morn.
