DONT MEAN TO SOUND STUPID BUT WHY ARE WE STANDING AT THE GATES WHEN :cfo :lfo ARE PUSHING ALL THIER PLANS INTO PLACE ANYWAY THEY ARE NOT LISTENING TO US AND WE ARE DOING NOTHING THEY WILL LISTEN AFTER THIER EXCUTIVE ACTIONS HAVE PUSHED THROUGH ALL THE STRINGS WHICH WE ARE FIGHTING AGAINST I SAY :cfo LETS WALK ALL OUT FORCE THEM TO START LISTENING I ALSO SAY THAT THE UNION ARE ALSO SHITTING IT AS THEY HAVE BEEN VERY LOW KEY DURING ALL THE IA MEET ONE GUY WHO TOLD US THAT THEY PUT AN ADVERT IN THE EVENING TIMES AND THE SCOTS MAN WHO READS THESE PAPERS HE ALSO SAID IT WAS DUE TO FIANANCES WELL I SAY STOP THE SHITTY GOVERMENT GETTING OUR MONEY AND START BACKING US WE NEED TO DO MORE

Wow sparky that was a bit of a rant, but more than welcome for that.

Even if RM get everything through Executive Action, I am striking to show that I do not support or wish them to do what they are doing and creating as much of a headache as I can.

There is some merit in the argument that the CWU are fighting the changes because they will loose members when the redundancies hit but I still think the fight is worth fighting.

I fully support you on stopping the CWU supporting the Labour Party and perhaps this will change in due course.

We must stand firm even if they do use exec action more people need to be educated about not comming in earley They may be forcing all these new counter productive practises on us but we must do the job as they want then show them that their plans depend so much on the goodwill of all posties. Layton destroyed asda he brought that company to it's knees. It was Wallmart that finally undid all of his damage, and I'm affriad this is what they are doing to us .On my day's off I take my son to work , and Isee the D H L van delivering mail at about 06:30 which is a lot ealier than we can funny how they can get everything out yet we cannot because of those 2 idiots

DHL not delivering mail,they delivering parcels! We deliver the final mile mail! And the one i have seen is still working at 5:00 hrs in the afternoon.

Aren't DHL and most other couriers either owner drivers/franchises - that's why they work long hours for little income. Just hope that Dum and Dumbest don't have this in mind for us, but I have a horrible feeling that is their long range plan.

A lot of us feel frustrated that we are getting no where ( or so it seems ) however if we did a national unofficial walk out it would play into the hands of the Dasterdley Duo in that we would have to negotiate a return and you can bet it would be on there terms!!

All we can do it carry on as we are supporting the union at present, no its not blind faith but is there any alternative? none of us can afford to loose money at this rate but maybe a little now is better than a lot later !

your not getting what i am saying what i mean is that :lfo :cfo are doing as they please they made us a pay offer that we rejected because of the strings that went along with these or i hope thats why most of us rejected it it has nothing to do with the money for me so i am fightin to save these jobs to try and stave off the changes that were part of the pay deal in the first place so when :lfo :cfo decided that they were going to push these changes through anyway i think that we should have as a union an all out strike either that we accept these changes and get on with it because they are comming wether we like it or not

I do understand where you are comming from. However the union will NOT call an all out strike because they would lose the vote or the backing, and they as much as any are carefull of there future ! RM want us all out so they can beat the union and get us on there terms, the union want to fight to justify there existance! you and I or merely pawns in the middle of the battle ground!! we will have the changes we all know this, all that is in question is the level of pain we go through in the end! and the level of changes we have to accept.

you will only have them if you back down. if we carry on this action then we will prevail have no doubt royal mail is now buckling maybe they are still putting up a brave front but this sugests to me we can get them to go back some distance from the original proposals this action is causing big big problems and the dom's are slowly looseing the plot lets just carry on with these strikes and see what happens i for one dont want later starts

well thats what i am saying why are we the ones in the middle suffering when we all know that the changes are comming in the reason i voted or the strikes was to stop these changes but we now know that the union is powerless to :lfo and his plans so why are we still loosing days pays when we know that what :lfo wants he s going to get is the union claiming a sucsess by :lfo granting these grand father rights for our shift allowances to me it sucks we have management on £0000s in bonuses and we sod all we ll get told soon to that our deliveries will also increase they will kill us with this job or you will have to leave because you cannot manage the deliveries so that you cannot reach pension ages then that will solve the pension crisis aswell

I think you will find that the majority of them our ownerdrivers. DHL scared of union power so offered everyone chance to be ownerdriver.Problem sorted.Don't forget that 25% of routes in every Parcelforce depot our ownerdrivers.Part of a pay deal ages ago

The WS machines were agreed ages ago, but no agrement yet on what to do with any spare time they create.

CWU are no longer against later starts, they simply want them to be properly thought out and to be properly negotiated rather than imposed.

You could say the CWU nose has been put out of joint!

Weekend working at MC's and sunday collections do not affect a lot of delivery offices. My DO has never done sunday collections they are done by the mail centre.

Door to door area joke ive only got 2 this week very often now we dont have the full three items so al this hasle over taking more seems pointless!

NO CR VR only decent pay offs for those that go wages of those that leave redeploy between rm and its staff on a 50/50 basis is what CWU should be concentrating on not worring about a reduction in membership!

Well IA has been suspended and for what? So we're talking to AL & AC - who on this forum is hopeful that they are going to make any concessions? I am entirely pissed off with the lack of communication from the union over the duration of this dispute, I have no confidence that this latest episode is going to resolve anything and I forecast a mass exodus from the union as a result! What will happen after that.........see u on the dole queue!
