What really annoys me is if RM just admitted they were caught off gaurd by the worst snow fall in decades then people might understand but instead its just typical head in the sand approach.

It's good to get these types of threads, the ridiculous my manager said bollox, so we can reassure ourselves that while the world is falling apart, Royal Mail managers are still being the low-life C***S they have always been. DOM is playing a dangerous game there... In a well organised union depot, I wouldn't be surprsied for all the union members to call the DOM's bluff and all cut-off at contract finish time.
Yeah thats what i thought! Pretty silly threat really after we just spent 8 days working our arses off trying to clear the mail for RM. No slap on the back and thanks for your help. Just threats and intimidation!
..and that's the main reason why i ain't doing any o/t this year. You don't get a genuine thanks and all you get is more hassle. Had stupid threats yesterday that people had to take everything out and if they didn't they would be suspended. The union were involved and management said it was a bit of a misunderstanding from both sides (oh dear).
Our union rep is a decent guy to be honest. He seems to believe in give and take between royal mail and its employees which i think would be a very reasonable position in a reputable company... Royal Mail however is full of thieving C***s so we just seem to get shafted!

Your rep was involved in threatening suspension if you didn't complete?
