Can anyone from the Bangor D.O. advise why there is an HCT permanently attached to a lampost on the corner near the petrol station on the main road into Bangor?!
Either, they're working VERY late or it never moves... Considering it's been there for months I'm guessing the latter?

Some offices use them as drop boxes if they cannot get permission for a convential one in the area

Ours are left overnight for weeks,sometimes the casual put's the key for them underneath!

When I used one on an old round and no one was available to pick me up, I got a lift back to the office, minus the trolley. The manager said "Yeah, we'll get someone to go pick it up". It was left there overnight and first thing in the morning, the Police phoned the office telling them to move it because it was at risk of being set on fire! The PHG that was in at 5am went out with a van himself to pick it up.

It's an obstruction to pedestrians if left out on the street. The Dom should realise there's a HCT missing within the office but not sure if the dom would care though. One pannier on one of those HTC's costs £60.

We have two that are chained up on walks and used as drop boxes, have been for about 3 years now

I'm sure the DOMs must know it's there, it's next to the main road. Not causing an obstruction as it's a very wide footpath.

Just to let people in the Bangor area know...
Shoe zone in Bangor have sold out of wellies!
Probably the whole of Maes G gone in there to buy some after the snow that was dumped down that road last week!

After the foot of snow they had last Friday, they're reasonably clear now but it's started snowing again. They closed one of the main roads into Bangor off last Friday. My OH couldn't get to work because no buses/trains etc were running and a lorry had jack knifed or something. Parts of the A55 were closed and the side roads are like ice rinks around here.
Mains roads are pretty much clear though at the moment. Just hope you don't have to go down any side streets or up any hills on your journey! If you're going past Bethesda way then bring a shovel haha I've got a friend in Tregarth who's been snowed in since last Friday.

Heading towards penygroes. I'm sticking to the main routes all the way and yes taking a shovel just in case. Heard they closed the A55 briefly on one of the tunnels to remove large icycles Thanks for the info.
