Max Paxs?

Can anyone tell me is there a maximum amount of packets that can be taken out on delivery? Started our new way of working three weeks ago,supposed to be a 7.48 working day,07.00 til 14.48 with 1 in 6 off. We were told by our rep thats the best he could get and management would not shift on it. Anyhow best time back at mo is 17.30 and I am one of the quicker ones, others out til six or even seven. Asked the rep when duties were being planned were packets taken into consideration, his reply being no there is no max and that we are all swinging the lead and that the duties are not the problem but the guys doing them!

Can I ask for another senior rep to come in and investigate our own rep and whats going on in our office? Should I phone the Big House in London for advice?

What comes is has to go out,it's impossible to know figures although the latest is 17 attendance calls for 500 del points as a guide.

That could be true then again it couldn't be,only you guys know.
Some reps are blinkered and arseholes but some are on the button.

Big big step,but if you all feel that way then you can ask.You could contact your ADR before going higher.

the rep is only as good as the office you should give
him your support not slag him off and start by working to your time
you dont have to work over its ur fault not his

Whilst I agree that supporting your rep is,generally a good thing why would any rep have any thing to do with a revision that didn't take packets into account,when one of the main reasons for a lot of these revisions is the increase in packet traffic.


Accusing the whole office of "swinging the lead",sounds like someone desperately trying to shift the blame to me.

It's a strange one this....
On the one hand...just cut off...then the number of packets isn't an issue.
On the other hand if a rep spoke to me like that and accused me of swinging the lead he would be keeping Jimmy Hoffa company under the flyover.

The union rep isnt a bad guy its just that he is clueless, I try and ask questions on the revision process and its a case of like it or lump it. Prep tested this a.m , 2 an a quarter hrs later I say I need to take a break only for union rep to tell dom I cant. HE actually went out and tested me on my walk and lied about loup times and when i did use trolley lied about amount of mail in the trolley say'n I could have used my shoulder.

All I'm saying is were not swing'n the lead. You cannot be over your time by that much every day and tell me that this is fair and just. Its not.

Listen we are delivering in N.I and its a different world over here, we are still meant to tip our cap.

I look on some of the posts on here and cant believe I'm paying dues to the same Union.

N.I needs to be looked at. The postal service is a mess and being run by managers and union reps over here who have been living on easy street to long.

I don't think your rep has to be the guy who walk tests you. Complain about him to DOM and ask to be tested again by someone from another office as you don't trust his independance. If they refuse put in a grievance form. Log EVERYTHING in a diary.

Well RM know best ,and if the computer says you only get 17 calls per 500 drops ,just pro rata it up to fit your call numbers ,and any excess is obviously unachievable in the set time.
