Oh dear,according to metcheck.com we are going to have some serious snow towards the tale end of next week and throughout the week after,its gonna be a nightmare what with the xmas pressure and all!!!!

Why should we care Royal Mail dont give a f**k no spikeys or chains for our office the manager says they are ordered thats 6 weeks now we are an office of 8 posties but if 100 post people worked in our office they would be jumping through hoops to get us sorted w*****s

got chains last year...they lying in my locker at work.
got spikys couple weeks ago....they also lying in my locker.

found chains to be good for snow & spikys better for ice.....sorry to rub it in.

Our managers didn't order enough vans when park and loop started so getting enough chains or spickeys no chance .

A guy at our place is like this , if he wants to work he'll work , if he doesn't he wont . Totally cool never gets stressed , the managers try all the usual tactics but to no avail , a shining example for us posties that let ourselves be put on . Since working next to this guy and reading these forums my stress levels have really dropped and I'm gradually realising that I decide what I should do and not my managers .

Too right. Heres an example:

We were told on saturday no one was to cut off. Told manager I was cutting off just to see what would happen...

Was told whole office would be put on alternative shift pattern to accomodate later satuday if I cut off. Told lino I was cutting off...

Told rep and he had a blazing row with the Dom in the middle of the office floor in front of everyone. It was probably the most mental thing ive ever seen.

Dom backed down. i completed my round with 10 mins to spare.

TBH if that happened to me I'd put in a grievance form as your manager is threatening you. That's a very serious abuse of power. I bet that guy gets little good will from his staff if he treats them like children.
