How long is yours...?
Callers office queue i mean. Friday and Saturday around the middle of the day we had around 30 peed off customers in a long line out in the cold waiting to get in to a packed callers office. You do try hard not to laugh as you cycle past them

Re: How long is yours...?
Our callers office is fairly small as its a product of the 80's when the packets and parcel boom was just a twinkle in the eyes of Cockburn and Roberts.
Therefore having customers queing outside is normal in busy periods.

) - pouched off at the local Post Office ...

Re: How long is yours...?
I concur about the high stakes of providing a "service" that involves leaving packets without official written authorisation at the depot for a "safe place" or "designated neighbour." During my first Xmas, last year, I was doing this, thinking it would be helpful to the customer.fishtank wrote:If you're gonna doorstep...so be it,it's your jobThehair wrote:P739...Whats that? Your customers will only love your "service" until the day your actions result in the packet going missing and you have put a 739 card through the letterbox, stating where you left the packet withoput authorisation. Customer then takes your "hanging noose" card to the depot and you get disciplinary...
Not worth the risk for me. Appreciation tips for this "service" do not pay me £16000 gross per year if things go wrong.
Just like I was approached last week by a well known sandwich maker on my walk, asing if I would deliver marketing for them cash in hand. Yeah, I could have made an extra £20 or so this week, but all it takes is one person to report this and I would have been crucified by lino and DOM. I let my lino know of the approach and left it for him to chase company up if they want an official D2D delivery to local households.
