Someone had a bad fall today delivering to a house with a d2d item. Taking 1/6th a day, delivering them on a saturday and during xmas pressure and this happens. Wouldnt have happened last xmas though.

bad enough not to continue anymore today. paths/side roads were today as bad as they have been during the bad weather....

Well I took my dog for a walk on Thursday along the side of the canal, the path was slippery and I fell, banged my head and was out for a short while, but long enough to come to soaked through to the skin and boy am I stiff, neck, shoulders, stomach and back and generally feeling rough .... so for all those heroes of the icy grip.........stay at home until you know it's safe.

Did you get yourself checked out DV?...any time you lose conciousness you should always seek medical attention.
You can't have much left up there...you should look after it carefully.

No I didn't. I thought if I managed to get up and walk back home I'd be OK, the bang on the head wasn't a problem it was the fact I was soaked through to the skin and bloody freezing......my dog was lying down waiting for me, I slipped his lead on and got home, stripped off and got in a hot bath. The dog thought it was the shortest walk he'd ever had! I had thought of pretending I didn't know who I was, wasn't married and that I needed a long break by myself somewhere warm................then I thought better of it because the last thing I needed was another clout round the head

The fact you were cold made the difference, the brain uses less oxygen and reduced blood flow, is in a sort of hibernation, preventing/reducing any blood clot on the brain, still I would get yourself checked out.

You seriously should go get checked over, we all hear stories of people banging their heads and don't know that there is underlying problems like a Blood Clot starting, plus slipping into coma's etc... all the best and i hope your ok.

Thanks for your solicitations, everyone. I'm sure I'm OK. I have an aversion to hospitals and take loads of medication for heart, blood pressure, diabetes, cholesterol, 11 a day, I forget what half of them are for TBH and as today is my 64th birthday, the wife bought me a new life policy As luck would have it I've had 4 days off so I'm not back until Monday.
