In other words got the £600, 5 weeks after starting park and loop which does'nt work. will never work,massive cut offs to-day,bloody well earned it,am so knackered only been home an hour.
Had £200 earlier in the year and have been promised £200 about the third week of January 2011.
£100 Christmas bonus due next week .

Way things are at the moment it's better than a kick in the teeth,until anybody starts this P&L and experiences what you have to put up with you would be welcome to any penny you can get out of this company,lets face it there's no going back now.

we have 4 sections in our office we started p&l 3 weeks ago and what a nightmare 6 hours plus , we was asked the dom about the money and was told that we would not get it until the full office is done , which could be later next year , so you have dutys working 3-3 1/2 hours and where out there till as late as 4pm , and the cwu rep says nothing does this sound right to you , how many sections in your office ? and has your full office been changed?

i am a collection driver , in our office just a third has got park & loop but the £600 has been signed of. If it works in the new year when mail volumes drop i do not know.

It's a 3 year plan,would be near impossible for all of us to have it at the same time.

We've been doing the van share now for ages and it didn't work at the start. Now we well into it, things are still bad. Cut offs happening due to rounds being 5hrs plus. We also have the CSS machines up and running but finishing on time is a lottery wether you have a good round. Now we are about to get new rounds that they say are 5hrs long. That means to me more like 6hrs plus. Management try and bully people who cut off to stem the practice as management have to take up the slack. This involves arguments telling you mail is light and no reason why people can't get done. or nobody to take it out. This practice causes a running battle daily on bad rounds. IMO we've been setup to fail and pressure people who struggle to leave or get ill taking the daily abuse and working till 4pm. This is to lean the company down for selling off. According to the Sunday mail, "legislation should be through for a summer sale if their isn't much oposition. This will release £40Billion in assets to the government, with them taking on the pension liability of £1Billion a year".

So in conclusion i see RM are leaning the business with getting rid of staff and employing part timers (This is a joke as they employ someone on 30hr contracts but i'd like to see where such a part time job exists in our office). management will be leaned down next year imho. Then next summer a sell off. What i don't understand is all these changes will mean nothing when another company takes over with their own ideas. Our own union area rep has quoted, "the only right we have now is working to time".

Sounds like another STRIKE could be looming... We're all meant to be doing the same job but we're not..! That's why RM are in the dire mess that they are! this should have been rolled out NATIONWIDE at the same time rather that the odd bit here and there LOCALLY.

If they brought in P&L in it's current form throughout the UK all at once , RM as a business would collapse within days just through the shear expense of overtime that they would have to pay out .

Since P&L was introduced the Barrow-in-Furness office is just about getting by . Up to the end of last week the overtime bill must have been astronomical .

This week is a different story all of the mail on the last wagon is just being put aside for the next day so we are getting out early , so all the staff on P&L are just about getting finished on time . One large village didn't get their tracked items for the week delivered until Friday . RM are just sticking two fingers up at their customers and at the moment they are getting away with it . I thought Postcomm would have been involved by now . Even though it sounds totally ridiculous , I can't stop thinking , this is a deliberate run down of RM . Customers are our strongest allies against privatisation but if the service carries on like this we'll lose them .
