i've delivered d2d about twice in the last 2 years but i now get wee suppliment in my wages for it thanks to the cwu & the dumb a*ses who voted for it.

i have no issue with d2d being part of live mail as long as the posties are given time to prep & deliver it. I know this doesnt happen cos on the 2 occasions i was asked to deliver mail, the mail wasnt prepped, never mind the d2d's.

In terms of d2d's protecting jobs, i think its true (if mail volumes are actually going down) but i feel its wrong that the delivery suppliment is given to guys like me who dont do any d2d's. I know posties who are easily losing over £1,000 / year.

This must be the special Door to Door issue with all those happy smiling people praising them to the skys , luckly for them none of them have to prep and deliver the bloody things. with a special mention that we will have more of them to do in the new year , of course no mention that we have never been given any extra time to prep and deliver them ,or the fact that we earn less now and are delivering more (yes i know we are not paid for delivering them now, but we are still getting less money in our wages ) or the magic opening sleeves they are supposed to put them in for us to deliver in one hit.


I wonder if they get more money now as a delivery supplement ,the same as those that have to walk the streets

I'm not in anyway defending The Courier but what do you expect? Would 'Socialist Worker' be praising the Govt. decision to (try) and privatise Royal Mail??? its just a POV

Lets not forget that the Courier is free...............like nudity on TV, you have the choice to switch off or turn to another channel........personally I watch it but I never open the Courier

NB - D2D's are part of workload now. So just throw them off and if you overrun, book it or cut off !
