With the bad weather and alot of schools shutting, how do RM deal with staff having to leave work to look after children if they are the only parent?

you can usually go home, whether you get paid or not is up to your manager. Best to go and see him directly if you have an issue.

You can go home for a day or maybe two which is normally un-paid but they will expect you to make arrangements for child cover if the situation continues.
