have to admit after using both, spikeys are crap, used them for about 2 hours, lost some of the spikes, the snow chains for the shoes we have were brilliant, last time i had owt this good it was me harrington!

We have them and they are pretty crap! They keep falling off and the spikes fall out quite easily. I've bought a pair of the Kahtoola Microspikes and they are brilliant, wouldn't be without them now!

Wigan has spikys and chains. The chains were quite good on compacted snow last week, but now it has melted and frozen as black ice they are useless. The spikys work well on the ice, but they have the durability of a chocolate teapot - 2 spikes fell out on the first day of use.

We only got chains at my office so I can't comment on the spikes but I found the chains to be very good at gripping on the ice no slips at all. As for the snow I didn't notice any difference really but then I don't think anything other than a pair of tennis racquets tied on your boots will make a difference in snow that's 6" deep lol.

Would love to have tried the spikeys. However, every pair to fit my small feet has disappeared from the office.

My spikeys lasted a couple of hours before they fell apart,maybe cause the biggest size that was offered was 8-10.

Only had size 9 left and my little feet are size 4 so using chains which i feel like i am on dancing on ice

dundee has them, they aare rubbish, like the elastic bands, the old shoes, the shite pens, the oversized old waterproofs, bla de bla etc , repeat ti fade.....................

1st pair lasted a day. Second pair still going & all spikes still in use after a week. Much improvement on chains, feel like I can dance on ice with em on.

They make your feet ache a lot less than the chains did and they grip well but many pairs have broken within a week.
Rows of houses all bearing down on me........I can feel their blue hands touching me.......All these things in all positions.........All these things will one day take control..........
