I think both sides want to keep the lid on whats going on in that room as stories tend to get changed the more they are relayed around the forums.........................Yahoorsur wrote:There are talks at acas going on,as there have to be,but will they come to anything? now thats another matter,me I suggest keeping the pressure on the top bods in the union, drop them an e-mail,you can get the addresses on the CWU site, just tell them that we are watching and waiting :lfo :cfo
But the union have said publicly that if negoiations are entered in to they will call off the pending IA,so i think by the end of play tomorrow(Tuesday) an announcement should be fourthcoming to say that a breakthrough has been made IF progress has been made,me i aint hopeful and will expect to loose another days pay this coming Friday
dont permissum bastards frendo vos down

Dave Ward is doing what he's paid to do,represent the membership, but the silence shown over the talks indicates to me that something is afoot, and as for the resolve shown by the businessVoR wrote:Dave Ward is pleading at ACAS with Royal Mail to accept his joint statement, but Royal Mail is telling him where he can put it. I dont think any progress is being made. The resolve shown by the business suggets to me that this strike is doomed to fail, sooner or later

STOP
VoR....STOP your NEGATIVE PRO LEIGHTON stance, WE will WIN !
WHY ????
Because If ALLANS plan is impemented, we will have lost our JOBS anyway....We have nothing further to lose....
BUT we have EVERYTHING to GAIN from fighting and STOPPING the "business plan" that AL & AC have come up with
We can once again have a service to be reconed with
We DON'T want a race to the BOTTOM....we want to INCREASE our service levels...NOT CUT THEM !!!!
I dislike loseing money on a strike day, BUT I HATE the way I and OTHERS are being treated......I will NOT back down THIS TIME>>>AND NEITHER WILL THE MAJORITY OF THE OTHERS......
MANY ARE WE....FEW ARE THEY....COURAGE FAVOURS THE BRAVE !

I was sure I'd seen a bead of sweat on my line manager the other day - Until I realised that he had just brushed past me too close
