Upper decile for delivery offices

Royal Mail have announced to the CWU the two criterias they wish to use to compare delivery office perfromance in line with the upper decile they are for indoor

weighted items per core work hour

and for outdoor

number of delivery points per linea mile

Delivery offices have been paired under the following :

Rural only
Town and rural
Town
Surburban
Metro

In their view there are currently 140 offices in the upper decile and therefore over 1300 office not in it.

Of course the problem is that Royal Mail want continious improvement and therefore by the time the others have got to the upper decile the offices in the upper decile have moved forwards.Ie a race without a finishing line.

By the way the reason they are not using IWT , Geo route is that those tools only relate to 92% of a delivery offices hours , so there is more to save by using these two criterias.
