Royal Mail takes action to reduce impact of severe weather
Royal Mail today apologised to customers in those parts of the UK that have experienced delays to deliveries because of the severe weather currently impacting essential services. Royal Mail has put in place a range of measures to reduce the impact caused by this disruption

Measures taken

More than 90% of rounds went out for delivery today. The vast majority of the 12,000 Post Office® branches were also open today. To limit the disruption to customers,

Started using Prestwick airport in Glasgow for the distribution of mail following the closure of Edinburgh airport.
Prestwick is of course nowhere near Glasgow :whistle

im returning back early from my hols tomorrow , in theory "working day off" gotta do your bit to help, and before you all start - I actually enjoy my job and don't harbour back to the old times of 9:30am finishes.

Our office went out with NO MAIL, just a week of packets. And did we complete NO. (2 walks)

Not done a delivery since Tuesday,far to dangerous to go out in these conditions :crazy:

I Wrote-During Covid-Which is still relevant now
It's good to get these types of threads, the ridiculous my manager said bollox, so we can reassure ourselves that while the world is falling apart, Royal Mail managers are still being the low-life C***S they have always been.
My BFF Clash
The daily grind of having to argue your case with an intellectual pigmy of a line manager is physically and emotionally draining.
