Police have now come up with a fantasic idea to help with their Public Services Cuts.........
On the spot fines of £60 and 3 points for anyone pulled over for not clearing their vehicle of snow and ice :no no
added info your DOM, Lino or Area Reps should of already got an email relating to the above :wave

It's not just the snow on your windscreen that needs to be cleared.
All snow is legally supposed to be removed, as snow on the roof could fall on to your windscreen,
or onto another vehicle, obscuring vision and potentially causing an accident.

FFS I can't even reach the top of a combo van to clear it, maybe the DOM would do it for me :nervous

Somebody I know is a traffic cop you can get fined but no points ..they did say it would only be a jobs worth that would do you but yes there is an offence for not clearing windscreens etc

this made the scottish 6.00 p.m news with strathclyde police apparently having to make a statement saying there was no truth in it.

Does it apply to lorries with roofs 16ft high traveling on the motorway at 70mph? I saw one the other day just like that but thought how do you clear it from up there anyway?
