Changing days you work

I currently work wednesday -saturday on a 20 hours pw contract and my lino came to me asking if he could move my days off around due to the busy xmas schedule. Now iam quite happy to work different days when it suits me but does anyone know what the official procedure is for changing days you have to work? Doesnt my lino officially have to give me prior written notice? And how far in advance does the notice have to be? Thanks for any help you can give me, i just want to be armed with the facts before the managers have the chance to start taking liberties!

Changes work content no notice needs be be given.

Changes to start times and changes to different days of working, 4 weeks notice in writing.

Was told this by a manager a few months ago.
