However i still think there is a need for the CWU at a local level to help sort out everyday issues, esp if you have a keen rep.

Thats the union spin on it yes, however... 6 DTD in January would have been worth around £50 to me on my walk, add to that the £12 early morning allowance and thats £62 so i will be down around £42 a week, yes the £20 is paid 52 weeks a year but so was the £12 pound early morning allowace, so i get £8 a week for 6 weeks leave and a few weeks at xmas and lets say 2 weeks sick, do the math and that leaves me a hell of alot out of money.

Do we need the CWU? Yes!! we just need to change those at the top in my opinion.

Was it fair that postie A was taking home £50/week more than postie B when they were both working the same hours?
With the increase in D2D, that wage discrepancy was only going to increase, so imho the delivery supplement is fairer. You don't get more money if you have more packets or Specials.
D2D is now counted in measured workload. This was a CWU goal for ages. Although you and me may be worse off financially, moving D2D into workload is better for everyone.

What I wanted to achieve by this poll was, to find out was there enough support to bring in a new union with a bit of back bone.... The cwu got their backbone from jellyfish

The reason i went on strike was because of work load and bullying.

Well what have we got from it.
1. totally unrealistic workloads
2.We are now totally wide open for bullying,as are duties will never be completed

Wf is totally right, the cwu have got us into this position... What r they gonna do now?? Oh yeah wen you are doing your job the way Rm want but not able to get finished on time due to an unmanageable workload, cwu will get you away with a 2yr suspended dismissals etc they will claim they saved your job, for now

We got told the time saved by WSM would give us the time to prep our D2D's each day. Well no WSM and no sigh of them in the foreseeable future! We have an office full of idiots prepping them in their own time and not taking breaks. Then the few that do the job properly get bullied by management cos "so and so gets it done no excuse for you not to". Where's this f***ing respect we was meant to get after the agreement?? Bullying and intimidation by management has increased.

Yes i know ALOT of people lost money and SOME made some, good point, i'm all for fairness but we now have the posties that deliver DTD losing money to suplement others tagged to a delivery office that already get a supplement, HGV drivers that already get a driver enhancement, DOM supports that already get leadership allowance, PHGs that get a allowance and leadership, alot of posties are losing money to give others "tagged" to a delivery office to get a second allowance, that IMO is wrong.
