thats my situation, i don't do o/t so what we do is i leave my loop in the office (lm takes it out, hehe), my partner leaves his part of that loop until the end, and instead of taking me back to the office i get the bus home. jobs a good one!

same thing in our office. I wanted to break off but colleague did not as he likes all the o/t going. i do not like shared vans so I was taken off that duty and put on stand alone walk meaning good old 3 and half hours

Not exactly in the spirit of things. Your partner should arrange a lift back by management and/ or be provided the compensation to get back. Neither of you should be out of pocket or have to walk, for your legitimate decision. You seem a little too pleased for yourself to have this power.

On the flip side if you were my partner I would wait for you to cut off first and get the hassle. Works both ways I guess

Also, what if you want OT and your pairing does not. I understand you would be expected to drive them back and commence delivery. Or you are paired with someone with different finish times. It's very open to debate.

This question was raised in our office about this before the revision kicked off. The procedure in our office is this...if your partner wants to work past his or her time and you don't then either you or your partner has to drive back to the office.

Now i'm not sure what would happen if your partner couldn't drive and he/she wanted to go back out and deliver more. Every office will be different so i would confirm with your dom what the procedure would be before heading out the door.

Your entitled to a lift so why get a bus, and why be happy about it??

At LEAST get your bus money refunded and CLAIM until you arrive back at DO. Personally I would ask for a lift back by RM vehicle.

If you want to work over and your partner doesn't you and your partner have to return to the D.O. for their finishing time then arrangements are made for you to re-commence your delivery.
If your partner wants to work over but you don't you and your partner have to return to your D.O. for your finishing time then arrangements are made for your partner to re-commence their delivery.

Totally correct. Problem is because he drives he feels he has some sort of misguided seniority in the matter. This would force partner B to either approach a manager about the situation and make working together thereon difficult or just live with it. Thats where the 'power' actually comes from, the scourge of 'an easy life'.

sorry should explain better, l work to my time and don't bother going back to DO and the bus i catch drops me off near my home, so it makes no difference to me in regards using the van.
