barometer test

was told on thursday , because i claimed 25mins extd , that i will have a barometer test on my duty to see how it affects my performance etc etc see how much time i need to prep with d2ds etc
any thoughts.
i was told by dim i should not have a problem with this what problems do i have with this test being done
i kept on telling him only one performance exists 1 min prep test he refused to aknowledge this claiming the iwt figs applied to performance issues and thats standard i should be doing .
i walked away before i said something to regret

A barometer test is only a count of ALL mail in your fitting its not performance,so your prep rate must be ok.

I bet next he counts your empty slots to see what % of houses you deliver to.

How many items do you have to prep in 1 minute ours is 12.

So working on our prep rate 1000 items divided by 12 = 1hour 23 minutes prep, then he will add the time your on the sorting, then he will add your duty span plus your break and travel time .

This is how its done in my office if yours is the same you could work it out yourself.

These figures would change daily due to no two days being the same.

IMHO Its wide open to abuse this system as no two walks are the same and no two people work at the same pace.
